About the CSO Week 2024?
CSO Week 2024 is a vibrant platform where civil society organizations, development partners, government, private sector, youth, journalists, academicians and other stakeholders come together to address critical issues and explore solutions for Tanzania’s growth. With Tanzania participating in crucial global elections, the event recognizes the pivotal role of democratic processes in shaping the nation’s future. Moreover, as the world approaches the midpoint of the UN SDGs without significant progress, CSO Week aims to serve as a platform for rethinking, refocusing and recharging efforts towards sustainable development. Simultaneously, the formulation of Vision 2050 presents an opportunity for collaboration across sectors to shape Tanzania’s long-term development trajectory. Therefore, the CSO Week 2024 theme is guided by the principles of voice, vision, value, emphasizing collaboration across civil society, government and private sector for Tanzania’s progress and prosperity. This year’s event in Arusha will offer a space for impactful discussions, idea-sharing, and collaborations focused on advancing development and community impact.
The theme acknowledges that despite our different roles, perspectives, learnings we share a common responsibility towards our country’s development and encourages us to use our voices to speak up, listen, to share, to foresight and explore ways that can bring about real and positive value by achieving a shared vision for our country’s future.
