The Tanzania Examinations Council (NECTA) has announced the start of the Form Six and Teacher Education examinations which are expected to begin tomorrow, Monday, May 5, 2025 nationwide Speaking to journalists in Dar es Salaam, the Executive Secretary of the National Examinations Council (NECTA) Dr. Said Mohammed said a total of 134,390 candidates have registered to sit for the Form Six examination, of which 126,957 are school candidates and 7,433 are independent candidates, while 10,895 are teachers who will sit for the examination He also said that preparations for the examinations have been completed, while calling on examination committees to ensure that the security of examination centres is strengthened and that the centres are used in accordance with the guidelines issued by the council. The council has also called on the appointed examination administrators to ensure that they administer the examinations with the highest professionalism and integrity in accordance with the council’s rules and guidelines.
