
Call for Applications: Women & Youth Green Enterprise Accelerator 2025, Tanzania
Opportunity Summary
CRDB Bank Foundation, in partnership with GIZ under the Women Empowerment for the Green Economy (WE4D) programme supported by BMZ, invites applications for the Women & Youth Green Enterprise Accelerator 2025. The program empowers micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) led by women and youth in Tanzania to grow sustainable, inclusive and climate resilient businesses.
Funding & Support
Selected MSMEs will receive capacity building, mentorship and access to finance through the Imbeju Program. Unsecured soft loans are available up to TZS 10 million for individuals under group umbrellas and up to TZS 30 million for start ups, with a 6% commitment fee, 1% credit life insurance and 1% crop insurance. Repayments are flexible and performance linked.
Regional & Sector Focus
Dar es Salaam focuses on circular economy, renewable energy, cleantech, green construction, farming and landscaping,
Morogoro focuses on climate smart and organic agriculture, agro processing and ecofriendly packaging,
Zanzibar (Unguja) focuses on blue economy sectors such as aquaculture, seaweed, organic value added products including spices and natural cosmetics, and eco tourism.
Eligibility
Open to registered MSMEs operating for at least two years in Dar es Salaam, Morogoro or Zanzibar. Women led enterprises with at least 40% ownership or executive leadership are prioritized. Youth participation is encouraged with a target of 20% youth in leadership roles. Applicants must operate in or transition toward green and circular value chains and demonstrate the ability to create two to three decent green jobs.
Key Benefits
Participants receive training in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, marketing, and investment,
Technical assistance with TRA, BRELA, TBS, WMA, GCLA, SCANCODE, COSOTA, PPRA and GPSA,
Up to three months of incubation and business development support from SIDO, VETA and NIT,
Participation in two national trade fairs, expos or investor shows for business matchmaking and market linkages.

Application Requirements
Applicants must complete the online or downloadable form, attach proof of registration and regional operations, and submit a motivation letter of up to 500 words explaining how their MSME will create decent green jobs.
